Every year, Tata Consultancy Services organises Indias largest inter-school IT quiz, the TCS IT Wiz, in the major cities of India, including Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai etc. This year, the Delhi chapter of the quiz was held at IIT Delhi on 17 November, 2018. There were 150 teams from different schools. The quiz was open for students from classes 8 12. From our School, there were 7 teams that participated.
TCS IT Wiz was hosted by noted quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam. Known for his distinctive style of quizzing, Giris sense of humour and approachable nature has earned him accolades. At this event too, he kept the participants and audience on the edge. It was, indeed, an exhilarating experience.
[gallery link="file" order="DESC" columns="2"]The preliminary round consisted of 20 questions spanning the vast world of computers and IT. Questions were based on the history of computers, business start-ups and latest technologies. The final round was broadcasted live on the internet. The quiz was a mixture of all types of questions, some factual, and some based on visual inputs.
The quiz received wide patronage among the student community, teachers, parents and educational institutions.
