Teacher workshop in Accountancy on the CBSE syllabus of 2024-5
On 27th July 2024, noted authors, CA Dr G.S. Grewal and Mr R.K. Khosla led a workshop for accountancy teachers at The India Islamic Cultural Centre on Lodhi Road. The workshop was designed to provide educators with an in-depth understanding of basic accounting principles, current accounting standards and updates to the CBSE syllabus for the 2024-25 academic session.
The event attracted over 100 teachers from various schools across Delhi-NCR, fostering a dynamic and interactive environment. The diverse group of participants enriched the discussions, as the authors addressed specific concerns and queries raised by the attendees.
The workshop began with a brief introduction by the organisers, followed by an engaging session on accounting fundamentals. Dr Grewal and Mr Khosla covered a range of topics, including accounting project work, offering valuable insights into the teaching and application of these concepts.
In the latter half of the session, the authors conducted a practical session focusing on the preparation and analysis of financial statements. Through real-life examples and case studies, they illustrated the practical application of accounting principles, making complex concepts accessible and understandable.
The workshop concluded with a Q&A session, providing an opportunity for participants to clarify doubts and deepen their understanding. The authors' responses were insightful, offering practical solutions that were well-received by the attendees.
