Top honour at Extravaganza 2019- inter school event

On 21 August 2019, fourteen students of our School participated in Extravaganza, at The Frank Anthony Public School. Students from schools across Delhi NCR took part in the event. The event was divided into various categories.

The first event was Spectrum - an English Declamation Competition which saw Jahnnobi Roy from XII- D as a participant. She spoke on the topic How do you see yourself as a citizen of the country? Jahnnobi delivered a fine speech putting forth her opinions on the government and her expectations of it.

The next event was Soc Talk where participants had to present any social issue in the form of a musical play. Our students, Diya Samvedi, XI-D, Vedant Gupta, Bhumika Juneja and Swati Aggarwal, XI-C, Anika Malhotra and Shreya Palit, XI-B and Tushar Kartikeya, XII-C depicted the Nirbhaya case as a dance. The entire performance conveyed clearly the plight of the girl who met a fateful end. The entire audience plunged into silence when they saw the intense emotions presented.

The next event was Pol Fest where the participants Vidya Taneja and Vishaka Sharma, XI-D shared their opinions on the topic One Nation One Election. The event depicted a Youth Parliament and each participant had to present an opinion on the same.

Bulls Vs Bears was an event related to Commerce. The participants were given situations where they were asked to purchase securities and make the maximum profit of it. The participants from our School were Dhananjay Bhardwaj and Anish Aggarwal, class XII-C.

The last event was ECOS an Economics and Commerce Symposium. Divija Puri, XI- C and Vanshita Sethi, XII-B participated in this event. They discussed the positive and negative impacts of Globalisation on India.

The competition sought to test the skills and talents of the students in multiple events. The participants showed a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.

Jahnnobi Roy won the first prize in Spectrum an English Declamation competition. The event was a wonderful platform for students to showcase their inherent capabilities.
