The 62nd National School Games Futsal Championship for boys and girls under 19 was organised on 15th and 16th February 2017 at Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The trials for the selection of candidates for the championship took place at Mahavir Senior Model School, New Delhi from 4th to 12th February 2017. Aman Pathania (11 E) and Chirage Narang (11 C) were amongst the ten top chosen to play. Aman Pathania was also given the opportunity to lead the Boys Team as Captain.

In the first match of this tournament against Andhra Pradesh, the team lead by Aman Pathania scored 15 goals. Of these, Aman scored 6 goals and assisted 3 while Chirag Narang scored 3 goals and defended four crucial moves. In the second match against DAV, Meerut, our team won by 3 to 1. Aman Pathania scored a winning goal here. Our third match was against Goa where we unfortunately, lost by 4-0. In the 4th Match of this Championship with CBSE, Uttar Pradesh, we won by 2-1. In this match too, Aman Pathania scored a goal. In the semi-finals, our team lost by 0-5 against Maharashtra.

In the final match against Uttar Pradesh, our team won by 2-0. Aman Pathania scored a crucial goal in this match while Chirag Narang assisted 1 goal. Kudos to our players for putting up such a strong front in the game.
