Top honours at inter school competition

A team of students from The Indian School recently travelled to Nainital to participate in an inter-school competition held between 4 and 6 May 2023, at Birla Vidya Mandir. The Conclave, comprised of a variety of exciting competitions including Debate, Quiz, Art Installation, Creative Writing (Prose and Poetry) and Living Newspaper.

The debate team from our School, comprising of Manan Kakkar and Ekveer Sahoo (XII-A), showcased their exceptional skills and secured the First Runners-Up position in the overall debate category. Additionally, Manan Kakkar was adjudged Best Speaker in the finals, highlighting his oratory excellence.

In the Art Installation event, our students Shaurya Fulfagar (IX-C) and Shiksha (IX-E) displayed their creativity through drawings and filmmaking and their remarkable work earned them the prestigious Critics Choice Award.

Furthermore, Ananya Basu (IX-E) and Shaurya Fulfagar (IX-C) crafted captivating pieces as part of the Creative Writing event, demonstrating their flair for written expression.

In the Quiz, Manan Kakkar (XII-A) and Shaurya Fulfagar (IX-E) showcased their knowledge and teamwork by qualifying for the finals and securing the Fourth Position.

This conclave provided an incredible and enriching experience for our students, who had the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents amidst the breath-taking natural and scenic beauty of Nanital. It allowed them to engage with peers from all over India, fostering the exchange of experiences and stimulating debates, both within and outside the conclave.
