Visit to the local police station by class 9
On 10 August 2023, twenty students of class IX were taken to the Defence Colony Police Station accompanied by their teachers, Mr Rohit Dubey and Ms Naina Sethi. At the venue, the students were welcomed by the officers and were taken on a tour of the station where they received first-hand information on how the police carry out their duties.

The officers briefed the students about their daily tasks which include responding to emergency calls, investigating crime and maintaining public order and safety. During the tour, the students got an inside look at the various sections of the police station from the prison cells to the record room. They got an opportunity to see two Malkhana rooms where the officers store arms and ammunition as well as the evidence collected from various crime scenes.
In addition to learning about the daily activities of the police officers, the students were given insights into important topics like crime prevention strategies, cyber security and traffic management. The officers answered the queries of the students about the role of the police in society, the challenges they face and the importance of community support.
Overall, the students returned from the visit with a better understanding and appreciation of the work that goes into maintaining law and order in the society.
