World Nature Conservation Day campaign by students
Every year, we celebrate World Nature Conservation Day on 28 July. Its primary aim is to save species of plants and animals on the verge of becoming extinct. The day also focuses on individual actions that can save resources and the environment.
All of us are aware of the increasing rate of nature's degradation. We can contribute to its conservation. All we need to do is take care of the small things like avoiding the use of cars as much as possible, stop the wastage of water, support the government in cutting down the use of single-use plastic and most importantly, create awareness amongst others about the same.
Mother Earth needs us; to save and protect her because WE are responsible for her.
To familiarise Indianites with their duties and responsibilities towards the earth, the members of the School Eco Club conducted an awareness drive. As a part of this initiative, they spread out to various classrooms and spoke about their growing concern to protect nature and how one can participate in its conservation.

The green warriors focused on the rapid intensification of global warming. They urged their young friends to join in the effort to resolve this problem by adopting small measures like using cycles for shorter distances and reducing the use of single-use plastic.
Water conservation was another aspect of their campaign poster. They incorporated in their message the issue of deforestation and the rapid extinction of pollinators.
The intense campaign echoed the sentiments of Late Margaret Thatcher, former British prime minister, No generation has a freehold on this earth. All we have is a life tenancy with a full repairing lease.
