Art camp for middle and senior students at the School Eco Park

A group of 50 students of classes V to XII along with their art teachers undertook an art camp at the School Eco Park on 4th November 2016.

It was a novel experience to sketch and paint amidst nature. The students were divided into groups of four and made to attempt using alternate techniques such as clay modeling, knife painting with the impasto technique and water colour painting. Some of the artwork revealed fine observation and skill.

Classes VI to VIII were also exposed to a new technique called ceramic relief slab work with plaster of Paris by their teacher, Ms. Simmi Kumar. She explained the technique and procedure of preparing these slabs while using carved nature oriented motifs.

The end result of the morning was a lot of vibrant artwork, camaraderie and a sense of accomplishment.
