Career Counselling for class 11 by expert Mr Jitin Chawla

A comprehensive career counselling workshop was organised for the students of class XI on 16 August 2023 by Mr Jitin Chawla, distinguished professional in the field of education and career guidance. The workshop aimed at providing students with valuable insights into a wide range of new age career opportunities, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future academic and professional paths. Mr Chawla began the workshop by highlighting the multitude of career options available to students in various fields across different streams. He discussed emerging opportunities and trends that are reshaping traditional notions of career choices. Mr Chawla drew attention to the vast number of courses offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). While acknowledging the significance of conventional engineering and technology programmes, he also emphasised the rise of emerging careers in fields such as biotechnology, bioinformatics, and management. The workshop delved into diverse career possibilities for students interested in science and commerce. For instance, Mr Chawla discussed the potential of pursuing B.Sc. Law, which opens doors to the pharmaceutical industry. In the realm of commerce, he introduced students to promising paths like business analytics, BBA Finance, investment banking, and even the unique role of a Certified Fraud Examiner. For those inclined towards humanities, Mr Chawla outlined post-graduation options for students of Political Science, History, and Psychology, which included International Relations (IR), Museology, sustainable management, civil services, teaching, and clinical psychology. Recognising the importance of skill development, Mr Chawla highlighted platforms that can aid students in acquiring necessary skills required for various fields. The workshop ended with an interactive session where students had the opportunity to ask questions and seek guidance on their specific interests and concerns. Mr Chawla's responses were tailored to each student's inquiries, making the session highly engaging and informative.
