Class 2D presents a special assembly on Basant Panchami
Basant Panchami, a festival celebrating the onset of spring, and invoking Devi Saraswati, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and spirit by the students of class II D at a special assembly held in the School auditorium on 14 February 2024.
It was wonderful to see students immersed in the cultural significance of the festival while also exploring its connections to nature and learning. The blend of hymns, educational insights, dance performances, and lively interactions created a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.
The homage paid to Devi Saraswati, coupled with the elucidation of Basant Panchami's importance, by the young performers, reflected a deep understanding and appreciation of tradition and knowledge. The interactive session on the spring season allowed students to actively engage with the audience while sharing fascinating facts about flowers and the season itself. Dressed in colourful attire, the students represented the flowers- the marigold, sunflower, jasmine and rose. A quick game of “Who am I?”, kept the audience aptly engaged.
The collaborative rendition of "Aaya Basant" further amplified the celebratory spirit. It was heartening to see the students expressing gratitude to their teachers and classmates, acknowledging the support and camaraderie that enrich such celebrations.
The assembly not only celebrated Basant Panchami but also instilled in students the value of cultural heritage, education, and community participation. Such initiatives contribute significantly to holistic learning experiences and foster a sense of connection with traditions and the natural world.
