Class 4 visits the Delhi World Book Fair
On 8 August 2024, an inspiring and memorable excursion was organized for class IV to the New Delhi World Book Fair 2024. The outing offered 145 eager young learners an extraordinary opportunity to delve into a vast and diverse collection of books, immersing themselves in the rich literary tapestry of India and the wider world.
Upon arrival, the students were welcomed by an impressive and vibrant array of books that spanned various genres and languages. The collection was thoughtfully curated to appeal to every literary taste, featuring everything from captivating regional literature and beloved children’s stories to insightful educational texts and self-help guides. The shelves were brimming with books that sparked curiosity and imagination—covering topics from the mysteries of space and the world of dinosaurs to iconic children’s classics like The Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Tintin, and Asterix. The display also included timeless folk tales from around the globe and cutting-edge books on artificial intelligence, providing a truly eclectic mix of reading material that invited exploration and discovery.
The excitement of the day was amplified by a vibrant cultural programme held at the fair. A mesmerising dance recital showcased traditional dance forms from across India, captivating the students with its graceful movements and ethnic costumes.
