Class 8 at the School eco park

“Travel is not reward for working; it’s education for living.” Anthony Bourdain

On February 4, 2025, the peaceful surroundings of the School eco park buzzed with excitement as 67 students of class VIII  and 3 teachers embarked on an educational excursion blending scientific exploration and environmental awareness. Upon arrival, they were greeted by thriving greenery, setting the stage for a morning of hands'--on learning.

The trip centred around life size impressive scientific models that captivated the students. They explored concepts of optical illusion, mass conservation principles, a detailed DNA model, and demonstrations illustrating angular momentum, etc. The students actively engaged with the exhibits, making connections with their classroom learning, while teachers provided insights that sparked discussion and curiosity.

The educational value was evident as students participated in experiments and shared their knowledge of scientific concepts. The hands--on approach allowed them to see these principles in action.

A high note of the visit was when students got a chance to pick fresh produce at the park and stuff this into bags carried from home! They identified the plants ready for picking and were then guided on harvesting the vegetables that hung on them.  It was a lesson in sustainable farming and healthy living. This excursion exemplified the power of experiential learning, leaving a lasting impact on the students through active engagement and exploration.
