Environment Week Assembly in Primary

'Plans to protect air and water, wilderness and wildlife are in fact plans to protect man.' On 15th July 2016, students of classes IV-D and IV-E staged a special assembly on the importance of saving our environment. The assembly started with a group of students highlighting the important aspects of the environment. This was followed by a skit which conveyed the significance of preserving the natural habitat for the sake of our wildlife. The choir then contributed with a moving song on kindness towards Mother Earth, the lyrics of which were prepared in-house by our music teacher.

Thereafter, a group of students spoke about environmental degradation and its harmful consequences. Next, our students used role play to call attention to the conservation of the environment and ways in which it can be implemented. The assembly concluded in a novel way with the students reciting the techniques of water conversation in verse! Every student across the two sections had a part to play in the assembly. Together, they able conveyed the message effectively.
