Force ( Forum of Radical Computer Experts), started in 2001, was held at the Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai on 23rd and 24th August 2016. It set up challenges to the test the ability of students training in IT. 14 students of our School participated in events catering to various levels.
These were: Sub Junior:- Classes III-V Junior:- Classes VI-VIII Senior :- Classes IX-XII Open: All classes, VI and above.
The various events were:
1. Pro Sort: Manav Arora and Prahar Gupta of class XII participated in this programming event which required the coding of difficult programmes using software such as Sublime Text 3, C++. The event was held in the senior domain and the event duration was 90 minutes.
2. PWNED: Sahil Safdar and Gurmeher of class X participated in this fun and challenging gaming event where peripherals such as controllers, a gaming pad and headphones were allowed. The event was held in the open domain.
4. Shortcut:-Akarsh Ahuja of class X and Karandeep Kapoor of class XI participated in this visual and audio event where the participants created a video using software such as Adobe master suite CS 6 and Sony Vegas. The event was held in the open domain and the time allotted was 90 minutes. The songs belonged to the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) genre. Both our students had a great time mixing the various sound tracks and combining them into a single track.
5. Regalia: In this event, the participant had to dress and pose as any modern gadget and articulate their impact on day to day life! Sanskriti of class IV dressed up as a Power Bank and recited a poem about it! The event was held in the sub-junior domain and the time allotted for this event was 3 minutes per participant.
6. Battle of Brush: MS Paint was the medium used in this challenge. Gauringi of class V participated and had to submit a painting using lines and colours. The event was held in the sub-junior domain and the time allotted for this event was 60 minutes.
7. Exposition - Aryamann Kumar and Aarv Dhingri of class VIII participated in this power point production. The topic was Virtual Reality.
8. Design Domination Arjun Pasricha and Ansh Kumar of class X participated in this challenge. It was a combination of Photoshop and HTML coding, CSS and JQuery.
9. 'Impress- Abhishek Raj of class XII and Pratham Gulati of class XI participated in this event. The topic given was Pokemon Go. Students created a digital image using Adobe Creative Suite.
