Inter-school Football, U-13 team, 23-27 April, 2012.
The late Aman Kachroo was an extremely promising young footballer of DPS International School, Saket and each year his School celebrates his fond memory with an inter-school football tournament.
This year our School participated in the 3rd edition of this prestigious tournament with a boys team drawn from classes 6 to 8. The matches were held between 23 and 27 April, 2012.
In the preliminaries we beat DPS, the host team by 3-0 and Maxfort School, Rohini by 5-0 to cement our place in the quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals we lost to Sanskriti School, although, initially we had taken a lead with goals by Rohan Singh of class 8C and Rohan Sankla of class 7D. However we failed to capitalise upon the lead and closed with a 2-4 loss to the opponents.
Rohan Singh was adjudged Highest Scorer in the tournament with an aggregate of 6 goals.
The experience was a vigorous one and our U-13 is looking forward to an energetic and fruitful year.
