An accountancy workshop was organised at the Air Force Bal Bharati School, Lodhi Road, Saturday, 16th July 2016. The workshop was conducted by well-known authors and resource persons, CA (Dr) G.S. Grewal and Mr. R.K. Khosla. It was attended by teachers from schools across Delhi.
The session started with a brief discussion about the recent amendments made by the CBSE in the accountancy syllabus for classes 11 and 12. This was followed by a detailed discussion on how to guide students to work 'smartly', keeping the marking scheme in mind to excel in the board exams.
[gallery link="file"]The speakers also discussed common problems faced by students while doing their project work and also updated teachers on how best to guide students in completing their projects as per norms set by the CBSE. This would ensure uniformity in the projects as all would follow the same procedure.
Recommendations
To familiarise students with CBSE requirements it was suggested that the marking scheme be explained to them. Mock tests were recommended to ensure the scheme is clearly understood by each one.
