On 23rd July 2016, an Open House Meet and Business Studies' Workshop was organised by the Commerce Teachers Foundation at Bal Bharati Public School, Ganga Ram Hospital Marg.
The meet cum workshop was divided into three sessions. (a) Session I. Commerce Teachers Foundation agenda for the session 2016-17 (b) Session II. Business Studies' Workshop (c) Session III. Business Studies Teaching Aspects
Session I The agenda of the Commerce Teachers Foundation for the current academic session 2016-17 was discussed during this session. Discussions were aimed at how to make the Foundation more effective and efficient to serve the needs of commerce teachers as well as students better.
Session II This session included a workshop on Business Studies. The highlights of this session were as follows:
(a) Mr. Rajesh Mahajan gave a presentation covering several tips on how to best handle multiple answers and case studies relating to the business environment and organisation structure. He also shared tips on how to bridge the gap between 95 and 100 marks.
(b) Ms. Kavita Sachdeva covered the topic of Barriers to Communication. Practical examples by means of video clippings were shown and a small exercise was also conducted for the benefit of teachers in order to make the key points clearer.
[gallery link="file" columns="2"]Session III This session was about aspects of teaching Business Studies in a simplified manner. To make the session more effective, case studies were used by the speaker.
The sessions proved useful as they updated teachers on current and upcoming trends within the field of Business Studies.
