Pre primary Leo shows its peers how to eat Healthy
On the 25 September 2024, the Pre Primary students at The Indian School gathered for an engaging and educational assembly on 'Healthy Eating Habits' organised by Pre-Primary Leo. The event was designed to impart essential lessons on nutrition in a fun and interactive manner.
The assembly kicked off with a lively skit featuring the enthusiastic participation of 15 students- Shivansh, Sahejnoor, Naitvick (playing the role of a burger), Aanaya ( a fruit), Anabia (pizza), Tanisha (vegetables), Ojasvi (fries), Vrinda (chappati), Enayat (pasta), Saanvi (noodles), Aarav (milk), Sarvagya (juice), Zunairah (chips), Md Aaban ( an egg), and Gurseerat (chocolate)! Each student took on a unique character, bringing the story to life with a performance.
The story followed the main character, Sahejnoor, who found herself home alone and facing a dilemma—what to eat. In a creative twist, both healthy and junk foods vied for her attention, each promoting their benefits. The healthy foods emphasised their nutritional value, promising energy and strength, while the junk foods boasted of taste, but warned of the potential harm to health. Overwhelmed by the conflicting choices, Sahejnoor cleverly decided to resolve the issue through a friendly tug-of-war competition between healthy and junk foods. The healthy options ultimately triumphed, leading Sahejnoor to realise the importance of choosing nutritious foods to stay strong and energised, while junk food left her feeling weak and unwell.
After the skit, the students performed a charming song titled “Healthy Food, Healthy Food, Who Are You?” The catchy melody and meaningful lyrics underscored the significance of making healthier dietary choices, motivating the children to become conscious of what they eat.
The assembly concluded with a vibrant dance performance to the song, “Have a Happy Meal”. The cheerful and high-energy dance was the perfect way to wrap up the event, leaving the audience with a powerful message about maintaining a balanced and healthy diet.
Notably, there was 100% participation of the students, showcasing their dedication and enthusiasm. The assembly was a resounding success, seamlessly blending entertainment with education and leaving a lasting impression on the young Indianites about the importance of healthy eating habits.
