Rakshabandhan in The Pre-Primary Section.

Festivals are celebrated to show our happiness on special days of national or religious importance.

Rakshabandhan stands out as a unique tradition of our culture that emphasises the importance of relationships and family ties. A simple thread ties tightly the sentiments of security and affection between a brother and sister. Sweetness is ample as sweetmeats are exchanged as our gifts!

Rakshabandhan celebration brings with it a lot of zeal, enthusiasm and excitement every year. The pre-primary department of our School celebrated this festival on Friday, 28th August15. The special morning assembly focused on Rakhi-tying by our little students who came dressed in ethnic clothes. Girls and boys equally tied rakhis on each others' wrists, reinforcing gender equality which is a cornerstone of the philosophy of our School. The beautiful rakhis werehand made by the students with the help of their teachers. The students also sang along songs of festivity along with their music teachers to reinforce the gaiety and gala of the occasion. Each one went home with a decorated wrist! As told by Ms. Othilia Fernandes.
