Saanjhi-2016

Sardar Patel Vidyalaya invited various schools of Delhi to participate in their annual folk festival, Saanjhi on December 16th 2016. Our schools participation in such a festival helped our children learn through collaborative learning and to enjoy the literature, culture and food of diverse communities. It was a platform which enabled school children to connect with their folk traditions giving them an opportunity to reconnect with their past. Saanjhi was not a competition but a celebration of colour, joy, music, dance and literature aimed at conserving our rich heritage for future generations. Keeping this in mind, students of The Indian School participated in all three events organized by them. The events were as follows: STORY TELLING for Classes IV and V FOLK ART WORKSHOP for Classes VI to XI FOLK MUSIC EXPOSITION for Classes VI to XI The participants were accompanied by teachers Mr. Sidharth Dalbehra and Ms. Priya Manchanda.
