Earth Day initiative by the Citizenship Programme on 23 April 2018

As per our yearly tradition, a week prior to Earth Day, on 23 April, 2018, we collected paper and cloth bags from two friendly provision stores in the neighbourhood, Bikaner Sweets and Commonwealth Stores for the children to decorate with slogans/pictures relevant to Earth Day.

Students across the classes participated in this project. Once the bags were complete, Ms. Aswani along with some students went to restore the bags to the respective shops with a request to use the bags on Earth Day while packing goods for their customers.

Our association with these shops goes back 4 years and they eagerly wait for us to decorate their bags. This unique initiative creates a wonderful impact and awareness among customers on how small steps can help save Mother Earth.
