The first topic to be debated was about the compulsions of having a time-table students in favour of the motion petitioned that compulsion hampers creativity and the learning outcomes. On the other hand, students speaking against the motion argued that without rules life goes haywire, similar to a horse without reins.

The speakers made their case in proposition and opposition with equal conviction on the second topic- benefits of healthy food. Speaking for the motion, the young speakers emphasised that Indian culture speaks of ' 56 bhog' then why unnecessarily deprive the taste buds. Their opponents contested that it is the healthy food choices which strengthen the immune system and also mental and spiritual health.

The third topic saw the vivacious debaters spar over the motion that smart phones are the most popular source of communication, besides being a great source of information for students.
