A Tasty Tale from the Classroom: Show and Tell activity on Fruits and Vegetables
On 28 July 2025, our Pre School classrooms turned into a colourful garden bursting with juicy fruit and crunchy vegetables as we celebrated our delightful ‘Fruits and Vegetables – Show and Tell’ activity! Tiny hands eagerly held up their favourite tasty treats, from shiny red apples to crunchy carrots, from sweet mangoes to fresh cucumber. With shining eyes and joyful grins, they spoke about the fruits and veggies they adore, explaining not only their delicious flavours but also their health benefits.
The young learners amazed us with their knowledge and infectious enthusiasm! One child confidently declared that “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”, while another proudly explained how carrots can help us see in the dark. Their charming anecdotes were as diverse and vibrant as the colourful medley on their plates.
What made the day extra special was the rainbow of colours displayed — luscious greens, radiant reds, sunny yellows, and vibrant oranges. Each child’s face lit up brighter than the juiciest orange as he and she described the yummy flavours and healthy benefits of their favourite fruits and vegetables.
The teachers were charmed by the enthusiasm and confidence with which the little food experts spoke. The activity not only enhanced the children’s vocabulary but also taught them the importance of including fruits and vegetables in the daily diet. It was a wonderful learning experience, fostering communication skills, creativity, and healthy eating habits.
As the activity ended, the classrooms buzzed with smiles and the sweet scent of imagination, leaving everyone hungry for the next fun learning adventure!
