Activity-Time for PS and PP
The Pre-school and Pre-Primary classes had a chance to rejuvenate and channelize their energy fruitfully by participating in numerous activities organised especially for them during 11 to 13 March, 2014.
Expectedly the children were very enthusiastic and eager to be included in the activities post their assessments. They were divided into groups so that each child got an opportunity to get a hands-on experience on every activity.
The activity teachers from Senior School conducted the specialised sessions. One group children went to the dance room, to learn western dance steps from Madhav. Drama teacher, Ms. Satyabhama introduced the children to voice- modulation and theatrics. There was story-telling and puppetry by Gagan and Garima. Sports activities were conducted on the playfield and the squash courts by Devyani and Kiran. The children were made to hop, jog, skip and jump before setting out to enjoy the organised group games.

The fine motor skills of the little ones were sharpened by Parul and Priyanka, with art and craft activities organised by them. Mr. Sanjeev Choudhary and Ms. Suchismita Chatterjee stretched their vocal cords, by their singing along to familiar and unfamiliar pieces played on the harmonium. Undoubtedly, the social, physical, emotional and cognitive skills got adequately exercised in the 3- day programme.
We teachers were delighted to clearly observe innate inclinations in several of the children, some of whom are otherwise reserved and shy!
Ms. Vinita Roy, Head Teacher.
