Class 3 visits the Traffic Training Park
The class 3 students went on an enjoyable field trip to the Traffic Training Park on Baba Kharak Singh Marg on 2 August, 2023. The excited students and teachers were cordially welcomed by the representatives of the training park, setting the stage for an engaging educational experience. The programme was conducted under the collaborative efforts of the Delhi Traffic Police, which added credibility and relevance to the visit.
The visit commenced with a short introduction to the importance of adhering to traffic signals and road signs to ensure road safety. A traffic police constable then used flashcards to familiarise the young audience with the common road safety signs and symbols, emphasising their relevance in daily life on the road.

The replica traffic training park proved to be an imapressive model with well-designed metal roads, zebra crossings, foot overbridges, pavements, and even a subway. The park authorities conducted live demonstrations on road safety and precautions, which left the children fascinated. The instructor highlighted the necessity for safety aids such as helmets, knee, and elbow guards while riding bicycles and e-bikes. Moreover, the consequences of neglecting traffic rules and precautions were discussed to raise awareness among the students.
The students actively participated in the educational interface, demonstrating their enthusiasm for learning about road safety. They were encouraged to take home the importance of following road safety rules and measures. The training session covered various types of traffic signages and urged the students to be empathetic towards road accident victims. They were counselled to encourage their parents to follow traffic rules and avoid road rage, thereby fostering a culture of responsible driving in their families.
The visit was instrumental in sensitising the young minds to the value of human lives and the alarming causes of road fatalities. They were educated on ways to avoid such tragedies and were urged to become brand ambassadors for traffic rules and regulations.
The correct methods of applying brakes while riding a two-wheeler and the significance of wearing appropriate helmets were demonstrated for the students. An interactive session tested the students' awareness of traffic rules and regulations, allowing them to actively participate and reinforce their learning.
Additionally, as a thoughtful gesture, the children were offered refreshments. Thw gesture further enhanced the overall experience of the visit, leaving the students with cherished memories of a day filled with learning, fun, and treats to boot! The combination of educational content, interactive sessions, and tasty snacks made the trip to the Traffic Park truly memorable and rewarding for the young learners.
