Class 8 students conduct a workshop on space exploration for their younger peers
On 6th December 2023, Pragya Kalra and Mahak Mahto of class VIII D, conducted a workshop for 130 students of class V. The focus of the workshop was the foundation of ISRO and space exploration in India, with specific emphasis on the recent Chandrayaan-3 mission. The objective was to inform and inspire young minds about the achievements of ISRO and the exciting possibilities in the arena of space exploration.
The workshop covered various aspects, including the inception of ISRO, the journey of Chandrayaan-3, and related topics. The students exhibited a remarkable level of enthusiasm and interest in the subject matter, demonstrating prior knowledge about Chandrayaan-3 and displaying a clear understanding of the concepts discussed.
Surprisingly, the students actively engaged in the workshop, posing thoughtful and insightful questions. Their curiosity was evident and reflected a genuine interest in space exploration and a desire to pursue careers in the field. The workshop not only provided information about Chandrayaan-3 but also sparked a keen interest among the students to delve deeper into space-related subjects.
The quality of the questions posed during the interactive session, highlighted the students’ genuine interest in the topic. It was evident that many in the audience seemed to feel inspired to seek out further studies in the area and thereby contribute to the nation’s achievements in space exploration in the future.
The experience of conducting the workshop was both enriching and fulfilling. The audience’s active participation and keen interest added a positive dimension to the session. We sincerely hope that this workshop has not only expanded their knowledge of Chandrayaan and ISRO, but has also inspired them to explore further,.the field of space science.
