Class 8 visits the Delhi World Book Fair

“Among shelves of stories and ideas, every reader finds a journey waiting to begin.”

A group of 98 enthusiastic students of class VIII visited the World Book Fair in Delhi on 17 January 2026 as a part of an educational excursion aimed at nurturing a love for reading and strengthening language skills.

The students spent a delightful and enriching time at the Children’s Pavilion, which buzzed with creativity and learning. They explored numerous stalls and interacted with books and authors organised by popular publishers such as the National Book Trust (NBT), Wilco, Oxford and Scholastic. The wide assortment of fiction, non-fiction, academic resources and children’s literature captivated the students and sparked lively discussions and curiosity.

A major highlight of the visit was an inspiring interaction with author Janhavi Panwar, acclaimed for her English communication titles. She shared valuable insights into the art of effective communication, the transformative power of reading and the journey of becoming a writer. Her session motivated students to enhance their language skills and express their ideas with greater confidence.

Adding to the excitement, the students actively participated in creative writing activities that encouraged imagination, originality and self-expression. These hands-on experiences proved both enjoyable and intellectually stimulating, further enriching their learning.

In all, the visit to the Book Fair was an informative and memorable experience. It broadened the students’ literary horizons, nurtured creativity and deepened their appreciation for books, language and lifelong learning.
