"Technology is best when it brings people together." - Matt Mullenweg.
24 students of class IX along with our two Science teachers, Ms Madhumati and Ms Yogeshwari, went for the exhibition on 'Technology' on 13 May 2023 at Pragati Maidan. The exhibition was open for the general public and students from 11 May ( 3 pm onwards) to 13 May 2023 ( 5 pm). The event was inaugurated by Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, on 11 May 2023. Our young technology enthusiasts had eyes wrapped in curiosity and wonder to see the exhibits put up by each of the departments.
The theme of this event was School to Start Up - Igniting Young Minds to Innovate. Students from schools across India engaging with Atal Tinkering Labs ( under the Atal Innovation Mission of the Government of India) participated in showcasing technological innovations in Hall No.4. Furthermore, exhibitors from 12 ministries of the Government of India displayed a wide range of scientific innovations in Halls Nos.4 and 5A. There were inventions to solve many problems faced by the world. There were exhibits by students of classes VI-XII.

Some students had displayed a device which can check the quality of milk. They had also demonstrated a way to guage the nutrition required for cattle, just by showing a photo of its dung! It is very cost effective for poor farmers. Some others had displayed a way to create eco-friendly agarbattis using flowers offered at temples which otherwise found their way into rivers.
Many departments had displayed exhibits. One of them showed a way for farmers to obtain an extra source of income by installing solar panels. Sunlight will fall on the panels and the light would reach the crops through the space between them. Thus, crops can be grown and electricity can be generated and sold to the government. A way to preserve fruits and vegetables longer without any genetic modification was also shown. A student of class XI showed a prototype of a machine which can separate oxygen from a mixture of gases in the atmosphere, mix it with ayurvedic herbs and the oxygen can then be inhaled by patients. The ayurvedic herbs increase the rate of recovery of patients.
Usage of 5G technology to control objects, robots which can aid fire fighters and soldiers, the app 'sachet ' which detects natural disasters, were other interesting displays.
It was a day well spent. It was definitely an enriching experience for them. The students returned to School with a smile on their faces, inspired and ready to innovate new products.
