Classes 1 and 2 presentation on Gender Equality

On August 28, 2023, class II from delivered an outstanding presentation aimed at promoting equality and dispelling gender stereotypes. An insightful Qawwali presentation focused on dismantling gender stereotypes. The young actors used creative lyrics to stress how crucial it is to treat everyone fairly, regardless of gender.

Following the Qawwali, class I showcased its creativity through a captivating dance performance that celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan. The dance portrayed the tradition of tying rakhis, a gesture usually associated with sisters tying rakhis on their brothers' wrists. However, the students took a progressive approach by reversing roles: girls tied rakhis on the boys' wrists, and vice versa. This performance not only highlighted the idea of shared bonds and mutual respect but also challenged conventional notions surrounding gender roles. The dance served as a reminder that festivals can transcend stereotypes and embrace equality.

All in all, both performances were powerful expressions of our School's commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity and dismantling gender biases from an early age. The event left a lasting impact on students, reaffirming the importance of breaking free from traditional gender norms for a more equitable society.
