Environment Assembly by class 4D.
Education, especially at an early age, has a significant effect on how people form attitudes, so what better than instilling a respect for our precious environment at primary school?
For
Environment Month, a special assembly
was conducted by the students of class 4D comprising a skit with a moral..how we must save our natural resources. The skit showcased how
Man, played by Avi Kathpalia, in his arrogance takes the environment for granted and exploits it ruthlessly. Angered by his reckless behavior, the river, mountain, land, forest and mother Earth, ( played by Dhruv Saran, Manit Sachdeva , Khushi Kedia, Jaiaditya and Gurliv Kaur respectively), seek the help of an advocate played by Karamjot Singh, to knock at the door of justice. When M
an is summoned to the court of law, he, at first, shows no sign of remorse. Instead he asserts that it is his right to use the natural resources as he wishes! By and by, he is however horrified by the accusations leveled against him.
The judge played by Urvi Beswal too reprimands him sternly for his actions. He soon realises accepts his fault. He then vows to correct himself and to guard the environment and save it for the future. The programme concluded with a ended with a pretty song on the subject of trees by the junior school choir. The audience also hummed along.
As filed by Ms. Parvinder Kaur, primary teacher.
