Halloween celebrations in Pre primary

On October 31, 2023, the Pre Primary department of the School organised an exciting Halloween Day celebration, which proved to be a resounding success, offering our young students a delightful blend of global cultural enrichment and spooky fun.

The day commenced with a special Halloween assembly that immersed the children in the world of this ancient European tradition. The assembly featured captivating presentations that explained the historical roots of Halloween and its cultural significance. Students listened to stories about bonfires, as well as the belief in ghosts and spirits returning to Earth. This enlivening session, which was part of the assembly, also emphasised the celebration of Halloween as a symbol of future good fortune.

Our students were actively engaged in the celebration, with a multitude of them coming dressed up in a wide array of costumes, including spiders, monsters, bats, ghosts, and even Dracula! They delivered short but meaningful speeches during the assembly. The highlight of the event was the spectacular magic show and a spine-tingling dance performance presented by our talented students in their remarkable Halloween attire.

In the dimly lit room, the atmosphere was set with haunting music, spooky pumpkin lamps and scary cutouts, including hanging demon decorations. This ambience perfectly complemented the Halloween theme and provided an eerie setting for the day's festivities.

In conclusion, the Halloween Day celebration was an enjoyable and enriching experience. It successfully combined fun and education, providing our young learners with a memorable Halloween celebration that not only entertained them but also contributed to their cultural awareness and creativity.
