Life Empowerment Award, 2012-13
The Life Empowerment Awards for Schools is an endeavour to recognize and honour the efforts of schools in various co-scholastic aspects of child-development and thereby facilitate the mentoring of best practices in holistic education. This ia an initiative of Expressions India, a well- received program of both, government and non-governmental organizations in the country.
A large number of school systems in the country regularly seek technical expertise for research, training and enrichment programmes from Expressions India. This program strives to empower, support and streamline the co-scholastic and allied elements to effectively promote child and adolescent wellbeing in an inclusive environment at Indian schools.
The awards are instituted to acknowledge the work of schools and individuals for innovative ideas, perseverance, compassion and leadership in transforming young India, as it were. It is aims to encourage contribution to Promoting Life Skills, Values,and Health & Wellbeing.
To participate in these awards, we had submitted a presentation in December 2012, highlighting the Best practices in Promoting Indian Art and Culture at our School . We were shortlisted for a nomination in this category. Our teachers, Ms. Garima Singh and Ms. Sukhmeen Cheema represented the School with a presentation explaining how, we are, innovatively contributing to the environment and uplifting our students by promoting Indian art and culture. This was on 28 August 2013 at Moolchand Medicity before a jury comprising o eminent members from the field of education.
It is our great pleasure to announce that our School has been awarded the Meritorious Achievement in Promoting Indian Art & Culture and the award was presented by renowned Bharatanatyam dancer Ms. Geeta Chandran, in the presence of CBSE Chairman Mr Vineet Joshi on 30 August, 2013 at the National Science Centre.
