Online interaction with peers at a Barcelona school for class 4
On 9 May 2025, enthusiastic class 4 students participated in an engaging Mystery Skype session with their peers at Ramon Llull School, located in the vibrant city of Barcelona in Spain. The session connected 29 students at our School with 23 children at the Barcelona school in a lively guessing game named Mystery Skype, designed to foster global awareness and collaboration.
Students from both schools took turns asking yes/no questions to figure out each other’s locations! Some interesting questions included:
- Is English your native language?
- Is it cold in your city?
- Do you speak Spanish?
- Is your country situated on a coastline?
Once both the schools successfully guessed each other’s countries, the session continued with an interactive cultural exchange. The students actively participated by asking thoughtful questions about various aspects of the cultures of the two countries, including the national flag, national animal, typical weather and seasons, favourite dishes, and daily school life. Our students were especially excited to learn about Spain’s culture while also proudly sharing facts about India’s symbols and lifestyle.
The session ended on a cheerful and hopeful note, with both schools expressing interest in connecting again soon for a dedicated cultural exchange, where they can dive deeper into learning about each other's countries. It was an enriching experience that blended geography, communication, and cultural understanding beautifully. Our young learners walked away inspired, globally aware, and eager for their next virtual adventure!
