Peer learning in junior school- class 4

A workshop on origami was conducted for a week by the students of class 4E. To mark the occasion of Basant Panchami, Nayantara, Srishti, Ananyah Sreen,Ryan and Harsheen took the initiative of teaching the art of making beautiful flowers and leaping frogs from tissue paper and ribbon. It was an exciting experience both for our student- teachers as well as the children who were amazed to see that simple materials could be transformed into such pretty things. Later the flowers and frogs were displayed on the display boards in the respective classes.

The opportunity provided a huge learning experience for the young student- teachers. Beginning in slight hesitation and nerves, the young teachers soon grew confident with conducting workshops in 5 sections of class 4 during the zero period. The enthusiasm was infectious and 5 volunteers joined the young instructors. The extra hands helped achieve individualised teaching.
