Peers from Vietnam in the classroom, class 1A

A skype session was held for class 1A with the students and teacher ( Ms. Nguyen Duyen) of the Ham Nghi Primary School, Dong Ha City in Vietnam. The session took place on 4 October 2018 at 9.30 am.

The eagerness was clearly evident in the eyes of the young learners. The students were delighted to interact with the students, namely Pham Mai Khanh, Nguyen Ha Van, Hoang Thi Yen Nhi, Tran Chau and Nhat Vu from the Vietnam school. Our students introduced themselves and then spoke about our country, our national flag and our national symbols. They discussed the safety rules they have been taught to be followed at school, home and on the road.

The students in Vietnam spoke about their language, flag etc. They shared their school timings and the time difference between India and Vietnam. Our Aarush described the activities at school whilst Elina and Gunseerat spoke and about the weather conditions in Delhi.

The interaction through this skype session helped build confidence and prompted the children to respond clearly on the spur of the moment, as it were. It promoted them to think out of the box too.

The session also greatly to introduce the children to their peers who live in a part of the world, so far unfamiliar for them.
