Pre primary Annual Exhibition 2024

On August 10th 2024, we proudly opened the doors to our ingenious Holiday Homework Exhibition, a celebration of creativity and hard work by our Pre School and Pre Primary students. The exhibition provides a platform for our young learners to showcase their projects, each representing a unique story of exploration, learning and joy. We were honoured by the presence of our Principal, Ms Tania Joshi and Headmistress, Ms Vandana Tewari, who graced the occasion and congratulated the students on their stupendous work and participation. 

The exhibition featured a diverse range of exhibits showcasing the creativity and learning through engaging activities, achieved thus far. The Pre School exhibits included:

1. Story Stones: Children collected and painted smooth stones with nature-inspired images like animals and plants, fostering nature appreciation and creative expression.

2. Mini India Collage: Students assembled collages on India's festivals, languages, and historical places using images from old newspapers and magazines. This activity deepened their understanding of cultural diversity.

3. Role Model Sculptures: Students crafted playdough sculptures of community helpers, learning about various occupations and the importance of role models. The sculptures, displayed in decorated boxes, emphasised that anyone can be a hero.

The Pre Primary exhibits included:

1. Happy Tooth and Sad Tooth: The children illustrated the importance of dental hygiene by drawing / pasting images of a 'Happy Tooth' surrounded by healthy foods and a 'Sad Tooth surrounded by junk food, which emphasised eating healthy food for strong teeth.

2. Animal Craft: Students created vibrant animal designs by re purposing old CDs or cardboard. They sketched, cut, and decorated their chosen animals, showcasing their creativity and recycling skills while developing fine motor skills.

3. Father’s Day Photo Frame: For Father’s Day, the children had made personalised photo frames using popsicle sticks, cardboard, decorated with buttons and stickers. This wonderful craft made for heartfelt gifts for their fathers.

Each of these exhibits showcased the students' creativity, assimilation and enthusiasm. The Holiday Homework Exhibition was a celebration of out tiny tots’ zeal to excel

The high point of the exhibition was a  marvel board, featuring student citations with paper plates animal masks and handprint crafts that turned into frogs and fish! The display showcased their ability to transform simple materials into unique art, adding a vibrant touch to the exhibition.

The ‘Craft Creations Table’ featured inventive projects like tiger day masks, bottle crafts, paper bag puppets, and peacocks with tricolour pasta feathers. Each piece showcased the students' innovativeness and ability to turn everyday materials into an awesome pieces of art.

The exhibition featured a captivating skit, 'The Jungle Rescue,' where jungle animals were shown to unite to save their trees from a woodcutter. With costumes made from carton boxes and newspaper, the students demonstrated creativity and environmental awareness. The performance concluded with a spirited dance to "Khud Jee Lo Humko Jeene Do," emphasising coexistence and respect for nature.

The exhibition featured a delightful choir performance by Pre school and Pre Primary students, wearing headgear with happy faces. They sang songs like 'Happy Day is a Happy Day,' 'Suraj Nikla Uhaa Savera,' 'Bum Chika Bum Bum,’ and 'One Little Finger.' Their enthusiastic performance, accompanied by music added a joyful and lively touch to the event.

The exhibition featured a diverse array of interactive stations, each designed to engage our students in different aspects of learning and creativity. These activities provided a hands'-on approach to exploring various subjects. Each activity offered a unique experience, allowing students to showcase their knowledge and skills while having fun. Here’s a closer look at the engaging activities we had on display:

1. The Popsicle Stick Alphabet Ordering activity taught young learners letter and object matching, boosting problem-solving, critical thinking, and fine motor skills. It enhanced visual and sound recognition, fostered independence, and built a strong academic foundation.

2. Another interactive station called "Shape-O-Mania" engaged children to explore shapes like circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles. They were challenged to re-create pictures using these shapes and also practice identifying and naming them.

3. The Summer Project Exhibition featured a lively exchange of Hindi riddles, "Bujho to Jaane," between children and parents, sparking joy and deepening connections. Another highlight was "Jaduai Pitara," where parents drew objects from a magical box and matched them with Hindi alphabets, promoting collaborative learning and enhancing appreciation for the Hindi language.

The Life Skills Corner at the exhibition showcased essential tasks like zipping, buckling, hanging, lacing and buttoning through interactive kits. Children demonstrated these skills confidently, explaining their importance for independence and future success. The audience was invited to try the kits, making this station a memorable and educational highlight.

In conclusion, the Holiday Homework Exhibition was a resounding success. The diverse range of activities from interactive stations, art displays, a musical performance and an engaging skit highlighted the impressive achievements of our young learners.
