PROJECT CITIZEN 2013

On 26 October, 2013, 16 students of class 11 visited Ramjas School, R.K. Puram for a national-level showcasing of Project Citizen. Accompanied by Ms. Divya Mehta (Citizenship Coordinator), we aimed to take a significant step in the direction of our pressing concern, namely Cyber- bullying.

We students were expected to present our perspectives on the topic in a 16- minute talk with a power-point presentation. The parameters given to us were introduction of the topic, institutional policies, alternative policies, and action plan, followed by a 10-minute interjection round by the judges. We also presented a documentation compiled at School on the subject with cyber strips, questionnaires and data collected by us etc. We were particularly delighted to get a chance to communicate with the judges on the action plan we had drawn up. All the 16 speakers answered the interjections made by the judges very effectively. There were many schools from across Delhi competing for three categories namely- Excellent Documentation, Excellent Graphics and Excellent Presentation. Our school won the Excellent Presentation award on the prestigious occasion and we were delighted to be a part of it. - Luvditya Khurana and Prashansa Gupta, class 11
