Recognition Day for Primary, 9 May, 2014.

We all crave for recognition. Recognition begins with setting goals for ourselves and working hard to achieve them. Recognition for good work is important because it validates our efforts. Everyone needs positive feedback occasionally to keep up their morale. Keeping this in mind the Primary celebrated the efforts of it's young achievers by awarding them certificates and prizes for their excellence in scholastic and co-scholastic areas. As recognition of their effort and to motivate them. The event saw the assembly of parents and teachers to offer a well done, and to let the children know how proud they were. The ceremony began with the singing of the Ganesh Vandana to invoke the blessings of the Almighty for our young achievers followed by the prize- distribution for excellence at state- level sports. Director, Mr. Raisinghani motivated the young ones by giving away the prizes for bringing glory to their School. [gallery] The next set of awards were for our Pre-primary achievers of the academic session 2013-14 now in class I, under various categories. Here, Principal Mrs. Tania Joshi did the honours. The excitement of the parents was evident from their deafening applause that reverberated through the auditorium! Students of classes 8, 9 and 10 presented a fusion contemporary dance depicting the Uttarakhand disaster with a message to respect and preserve our precious environment. Post the dance performance, the award ceremony continued with Mrs. Shalini Sehgal, Vice President PTA handing over the awards of class I of the previous academic session, now in class 2. Mrs. Sangeeta Banerjee, Secretary PTA gave away the prizes to our achievers in the scholastic and co-scholastic areas of class 2 ( now in class 3) and Head Teacher, Pre-primary, Mrs. Vinita Roy presented the awards to students of class 3, now in class 4. The last set of awards for the winners of class 4 of the previous academic session were given away by Head Teacher of the Primary section, Mrs. Neena Maini. The Primary School choir then soulfully rendered of piece composed by their teacher, Mr. Sanjeev Choudhary on the beauty of life. The lyrics of the song aptly were Jee Le Jee Le har lamha pyaar se. The School orchestra played before the assembly stood in attention to sing the School song. Cool refreshments awaited the gushing guests in the warm afternoon. Report by Ms. Vandana Tewari.
