Opening the doors to a whole new world of learning, the young students were given a one-to-one with their peers of the Z.P.P Girls School in Nanded, Maharashtra on a screen. The session took place on 20 August, 2018 at 11 am .
The eagerness was evident in the eyes of the young learners as the session rolled with the song Sare Jahan Se Achha sung by our students. They followed this with descriptions of how Independence Day is observed in their respective schools.
A lively sharing of ideas was guided along by the teachers on both sides who deftly moderated the excited children.
The students asked each other questions relating to their EVS chapters- Clothes and My School and drew a comparison between the uniform worn by the girls on the other side of the screen, their mother tongue Marathi, their school building. They described the activities at our School. Aarush discussed his favourite activity whilst Risha and Gunseerat spoke about the prevelant weather condition and pollution in Delhi.
It was raining heavily in Nanded that day and we were shown a frame of their beautiful rain soaked and lush school garden!
The interaction on skype was thoroughly animated once the ice was broken in the early moments! Thereafter the children were extremely enthused and each wanted to have a say in the exchange! It was a confidence building exercise even as the children learnt about their peers in another part of our country.
