The ‘Saraswati Hindi Shikshak Samman Samaroh’ organised by New Saraswati House at India Habitat Centre on 2 December 2023, was a significant and enriching event. Dr Shikha Sharma, Ms Kajal Soni and Ms Priya Manchanda of our School attended the event.
The resource person for the event was Dr Vinod Singh Chauhan ‘Prasoon’, writer and poet. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was followed by an insightful discussion on the Hindi textbook ‘Nav Unmesh.’
During the interaction, the emphasis on the relationship between teachers and students highlighted the interconnected nature of education and teaching. The discussion covered essential aspects, such as how teachers can instil a love for literature among students. It stressed on the importance of classroom-appropriate material, maintaining a meaningful flow through rhythmic teaching methods, fostering awareness. Addressing pronunciation errors through songs was also highlighted.
The event further delved into discussing the standard form and rhythmic innovations in Hindi. Poets Shri Chirag Jain and Ms Manisha Shukla presented emotionally resonant poems, adding a creative and artistic dimension to the programme.
The closing session was dedicated to honouring Hindi teachers from various schools of Delhi and NCR. The recognition of these teachers highlighted the significant role they play in shaping the educational journey of their students.
The overall experience was both informative and celebratory. The inclusion of lunch after the programme provided a social aspect, allowing attendees to further connect and share their experiences. Such events play a crucial role in acknowledging and appreciating the efforts of educators while fostering a sense of community and collaboration in the field of education.
