Workshop for teachers of Hindi
A Saraswati Hindi Shikshak Sammaan Samaroh and workshop on Hindi Bhasha Shikshan Evam Sahaj Adhigam was held on 30 November 2024 at National Sports Club Of India. The workshop aimed to enhance linguistic new skills ( navachaar) among the teacher- participants. More than 200 teachers from Delhi and NCR schools participated in the said workshop. Our two teachers of Hindi, Dr Shikha Sharma, HOD and Ms Sushila Negi represented our School at this workshop.
The primary goal of the workshop was to develop a stronger charge over Hindi grammar and vocabulary.
The workshop began with the lighting of the lamp. Mr Shammi Manil, CEO, New Sarswati House addressed the gathering. He emphasised the importance of Hindi in connecting diverse communities and highlighted its rich literary heritage.
A session on Effective Learning in Hindi (Hindi Bhasha Shikshan Evam Sahaj Adhigam)was conducted by Dr Vinod Singh Chauhan who emphasised The four Ps of teaching:
1. Pahchaan (Identification)- Recognising the strengths, weaknesses and the needs of students.
2. Prayog (Implementation)- Implementing knowledge and skills to teach students, providing them with practical experiences.
3. Prerna (Motivation)- Motivating students to learn, generating enthusiasm and increasing interest.
4. Pratiphal (Feedback)- Providing feedback to students, evaluating their progress and offering suggestions for improvement.
He also highlighted innovations in the teaching of Hindi. Grammar and vocabulary exercises always help learners overcome common errors and enhance fluency, he said. Several conceptual songs were explained and sung, such as the Noun, Pronoun, Nukta, Non Nukta songs etc,
To make teaching-learning more effective teachers can work to improve the handwriting of children. Good handwriting is a hallmark of perfection in education, he emphasised. It is also essential to identify the gaps and limitations of students. The workshop concluded along with the release of Sarthak, a grammar book. Thereafter, the participants were honoured with momentos.
The workshop concluded with a feedback session where participants expressed their enthusiasm for other similar initiatives. The event successfully achieved its objective of promoting Hindi as a versatile and dynamic language for personal and professional use.
